The Judicial Police, through the Directorate of Lisboa and Vale do Tejo, have identified, located and arrested a man aged 35 years who with another person carried out robberies with the use of a weapon.
Another man aged 25 years was also arrested by the Judicial Police suspected of murder, corpse desecration and possession of a prohibited weapon.
The investigation found that the detainees were responsible for about eighteen armed robberies at pharmacies, shops and a restaurants which took place in Lisbon and Cascais, between August and December this year, as well as the theft of two cars car used to carry out these attacks.
The culprits worked undercover, using wigs and other props, and, in many cases, managed to steal several thousand euros and gold objects, putting in fear those who were attacked.
The detainees will be brought before the first court hearing for implementation of appropriate procedural measures pending trial.
