Covid-19
In the seven days from Friday 8th April until Friday 14th April there have been 2,225 new positive cases of Covid-19 registered in the Azores, and a total of 7,421 tests performed. 2513 people have recovered, and four deaths have been recorded. There are a total of 1,959 active cases, 292 fewer than the previous week.
There are 25 patients in the region’s hospitals and 1 in the ICU.
2.7 magnitude earthquake felt on Terceira Island
An earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale and epicentre about 14 kilometres south of S. Mateus, on Terceira Island, Azores, was felt this Tuesday in parishes in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo
4.1 magnitude earthquake felt on the island of São Miguel
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale and epicentre about 35 kilometres southeast (SE) of Água Retorta, in São Miguel, in the Azores, was felt this morning in several parishes of the largest Azorean island.
