BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY
Algarve Getaways has been renting in the Algarve since 2000 and started with its management services in 2005, provided by its sister company, Getaways Property Services. After working side by side for 12 years, the 2 companies are joining forces in 2017/18, to provide a streamlined and efficient service, as Algarve Getaways Lda.
BRIEF PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Howard Derber hails from Cape Town in South Africa and came to the Algarve, via a 6-year stay in London, in 2004. Algarve Getaways rentals service was set up by his wife, Barbara, after first visiting the Algarve in 1999 and management services were a natural progression after their move. Barbara had a hotel management background and Howard was a business professional, having run various companies in South Africa and the U.K., so setting up a successful company in the hospitality industry was a natural progression.

To provide high quality accommodation in good locations, with excellent service, support and attention to detail to the highest possible standard, giving owners complete peace of mind.
To provide guests with a high standard of accommodation and customer care, from their initial enquiry, through the booking process, to their arrival in the Algarve, right up to their departure, making everything as easy and enjoyable as possible, so that guests can sit back, relax and experience the holiday of a lifetime.

We have a very strong client base, with many repeat bookings and referrals and with multi-lingual staff, attract owners and guests from the U.K., Ireland, France, Netherlands, Portugal, Canada, U.S.A. and many other countries, across the world.
