GNR – Solidarity Christmas Hampers for the Elderly
Since 2022, Pingo Doce has joined GNR to visit those who are alone during the Christmas season. Taking a basket for them, full of joy and food products.
This year, we continue our mission.
It will be delivered by hand by GNR to an elderly person in a lonely situation. But, more than that, we want to bring your message of joy in this special season that unites us all even more.
Here the case of GNR Leiria – This Christmas season we could not forget the elderly, vulnerable and isolated people throughout the Leiria district!
Through visits by the personnel from the Criminal Prevention and Community Policing Sections (SPC), we passed on useful security advice, distributed Solidarity Christmas Hampers (a partnership between Pingo Doce and the GNR) and even offered cupcakes as a treat to spoil them!
But even more important is the presence and company of the officers, sharing conversations and smiles.
For the elderly, these moments are highly valued, as well as for the officers!
